Launch Fayette Mission

Inspiring entrepreneurs and students with the education and support they need to launch successful businesses. This creates a talented community who contribute to Fayette’s local economy. 

Our mission is to:

  • Train aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Connect students with local industry professionals.
  • Build a supportive local ecosystem.
  • Grow in-demand resources for Fayette County.

Located at the Center of Innovation in Peachtree City, Launch Fayette is co-located with Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS), Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC), and Clayton State University (CSU).

Launch Fayette hosts a dynamic suite of local and statewide education and advisory services, all housed in a collaborative office space designed to propel startups to success. This provides entrepreneurs connection, collaboration, and access to industry leaders, along with educational resources that provide constant learning. Portfolio Membership offers a structured graduation program helping new businesses thrive within just 1-3 years.

Curriculum and community based offerings include:

  • For-credit classes as part of the SCTC Entrepreneurship Certificate Program.
  • Classes, seminars, lectures, and presentations from local and state resources.
  • Free ATDC Educate Classes for members.
  • Personalized 1-to-1 and group mentorship sessions.

Student Entrepreneurship

Launch Fayette immerses students into innovation and startup culture. The program blends curriculum education, community engagement, and mentorship from local entrepreneurs within a dynamic setting to inspire the learning and launching of new ideas. This unique curriculum to educate in entrepreneurship is in partnership with FCPS and SCTC. Students join for free with internships available through the FCPS Work Based Learning program.

This will provide students who are passionate about startups with:

  • Hands-on experience in a thriving startup environment.
  • Access to FCBOE & SCTC programs that offer for-credit classes.
  • Enriching classes, seminars, and community events at Launch Fayette.
  • Mentorship by experienced local entrepreneurs and industry experts.

Director

Steve is an industry leader with 40+ years in innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development. He served as Executive Director of Georgia Centers of Innovation, aiding industries with technical expertise and contributing to Georgia’s selection as the #1 State for Business for 7 consecutive years. In the private sector, he’s worked for aerospace industry leaders, supported the development of notable aircraft including the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, and founded two companies. He is now Treasurer of AIAA and member of Board of Trustees, and has received high honors including the Red Dot Design Award.

Programs Coordinator

Amy has 30+ years of executive administrative experience in the public sector, spanning finance, marketing, planning, strategy, and IT. Her tenure at The Coca-Cola Company included supporting their top executives in marketing and financial operations. She’s also worked for Mercedes Benz and event planning. Currently pursuing an Event Management and Design certificate, Amy is a member of several organizations, a Licensed Realtor® in Georgia, notary, and was named 2019-2020 American Beauties Woman of the Year.

Jesse is an innovation leader with 20+ years of experience. He’s the Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Thrust Interactive, overseeing the development of web and mobile products for enterprise and startup partners. A VC-backed entrepreneur, he’s founded 5 companies across several industries. Jesse is passionate about mentoring startups and uses his expertise in customer discovery and strategic execution to help them succeed. He is a proud graduate of Flashpoint at Georgia Tech and serves as a board member of Georgia Hi-Lo Trail.
