In today’s digital economy, cybersecurity is no longer just an IT issue. It is a business issue. Small businesses and manufacturers are increasingly targeted by cybercriminals because they often have limited resources and fewer security controls than larger organizations. A single cyber incident can disrupt operations, impact customer trust, and result in significant financial loss.
This practical short course is designed specifically for founders, entrepreneurs, and small manufacturers who want to better protect their organizations from common cyber threats. Participants will gain a clear understanding of today’s cybersecurity landscape, including phishing attacks, ransomware, business email compromise, insider threats, and risks associated with remote work and cloud technologies.
The course will also introduce cybersecurity best practices that organizations can implement immediately, regardless of size or budget. Topics include developing a cybersecurity culture, managing business risk, protecting sensitive information, and creating an actionable cybersecurity roadmap.
For companies interested in government contracting or supporting Department of Defense supply chains, the course includes an overview of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program and explains how cybersecurity requirements are becoming increasingly important for manufacturers and defense contractors.
The course consists of classroom presentations, discussion, real-world examples, and practical exercises that attendees can apply within their organizations.
Participants will leave with a better understanding of cybersecurity risks, a list of recommended actions, and resources to help improve their organization’s cyber resilience.
